KVU Singers, a mixed voice choir based in Sutton-in-Craven, will launch its 2018 programme with a concert in Skipton Town Hall at 2.30pm on Sunday, March 11.
They will be joined on this occasion by the 2nd Rossendale Scout Band, led by their director of music, Graham Helm.
The Bacup-based band was formed in 1963 as a drum and trumpet band.
The instrumentation was changed some seven years later to a fully fledged brass band.
Mr Helm has been with the band for more than 27 years and he has been the musical director since 2000.
The KVU Singers’ performance will include a wide range of music, from sacred to secular and madrigals to modern, all under the baton of their energetic conductor and choir master Frank Smith.
Tickets cost £10 (under 16s free). To order by phone, call 01535 653009 or 01535 653917. They are also available from the tourist office in Skipton Town Hall.
