SKIPTON: Humans of the Dales Exhibition, featuring portraits and interviews collected in the Yorkshire Dales. Artists Carine Brosse and Sam Dakin, will be on display until Monday, May 28, in Skipton Town Hall.

The exhibition, commissioned by Grassington Festival, will be open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. Entry is free.

The film The Flying Scotsman, the true story of Scottish cyclist Graeme Obree, will be screened on Sunday in Skipton Town Hall. Tickets cost £5 or £3 for under 18s.

SETTLE: Eagles tribute band Motel California is set to perform at 7.30pm on Saturday, May 5, in Settle Victoria Hall.

Scandimoot, a concert by artists invited to teach and perform at the annual Scandimoot weekend of Scandinavian music and dance, will take place at 7.30pm on Sunday.

Burden of Paradise with Snake Davis will perform in concert at 8pm on Monday and then a screening of National Theatre Live: Macbeth will be shown at 7pm on Thursday, May 10.

Back in Settle's exhibition Farms, Flags, Forges, which focuses on the area’s farming, quarrying, and associated Dales occupations, will be on display at The Folly on June 24.

The Folly is also displaying Knitted Settle, an exhibition of knitted pictures of buildings in Settle town centre, until December 22.

The exhibition Still Life – A Celebration will be on display at Gavagan Art in Settle Town Hall.

The exhibition, which runs until Saturday, May 12, will showcase a range of works by artists including Ruth Addinall, Tina Balmer, George Melling, David Thomas and Derek Setford.

The gallery is open from 11am to 4pm Thursdays to Saturdays.

Phil Moody, a former member of the band Chumbawamba, is exhibiting his artwork at the Gallery on the Green.

His exhibition, Interventions with Stone, will be on display in the former BT phone box until Friday, May 25.

BARNOLDSWICK: Big Minds, featuring Derek Forbes from Simple Minds and Mark Brzezicki from Big Country, will hold a Concert for the Kids performance at the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

Singer-songwriter Wreckless Eric will then perform in concert on Thursday, May 10, singer John Watterson will perform the concert, An Audience Without Jake Thackray, on Sunday, May 13, and BON Play AC/DC will perform a free concert on Monday, May 21.

CARLETON-IN-CRAVEN: Local country singer Jim Tracy makes a welcome return to the Iron Horse Country Music Club at Carleton Social Club on Saturday, May 12.
