NASHVILLE country rockers Dan Baird and Homemade Sin will play a special benefit show for Airedale Hospital.
The benefit will be held at Keighley’s Octagon Live venue at 7pm on Friday, June 15.
It is almost a year since Dan was taken seriously ill at his Bingley Arts Centre concert, which he performed on a stool.
Dan was taken to Airedale, where it was found that his leukaemia had returned with a vengeance.
He was seriously ill and admitted to ICU where he spent a week stabilising before being discharged. He spent another week at a hotel before being cleared to fly home.
However the show must go on, and in true rock and roll style the band carried on without their leader.
Now reunited and on a European club and festival tour, the Octagon gig is for the former Georgia Satellites man his way of saying thank you to the hospital.
Last Great Dreamers will also perform on the night.
