Craven Museum and Gallery will present an exhibition displaying artwork from The Roebuck Collection from tomorrow to Saturday, July 7, in Skipton Town Hall.

A free string open morning at Skipton Music Centre, which is based at Ermysted’s Grammar School, will be held from 9.30am to 10.45am on Saturday.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will present a singers night on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street. Start time is 8.30pm.

SETTLE: Breathe, an inspirational film about a polio sufferer who fights for the rights of disabled people, will be shown at 7.30pm tonight in Settle Victoria Hall.

The film is being screened in conjunction with Settle Rotary. Tickets are free, but donations to the Rotary End Polio Now campaign are welcome.

There will also be a relaxed screening of the classic film Some Like It Hot, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, at 1.30pm on Monday in the Victoria Hall.

Back in Settle’s exhibition Farms, Flags, Forges, which focuses on the area’s farming, quarrying and associated Dales occupations, will be on display at The Folly until Sunday, June 24.

The Folly is also displaying Knitted Settle, an exhibition of knitted pictures of buildings in Settle, until December 22.

A new exhibition by Lois Brothwell, which features oil paintings of women galloping through the Dales on horseback, will be on display until Friday, July 6, at the Gallery on the Green.

BARNOLDSWICK: A Hold Tight It’s 60’s Night will be performed tomorrow in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

The evening will feature performances by Peter Hughes and Mick Carroll with The New Mindbenders, legendary mod band The Reaction, as well as Pete Barton and The Sixties All Stars

Multi-instrumentalist Emily Maguire will then perform at the centre on Thursday, June 21.
