SKIPTON: Capturing the Moment, a solo exhibition by printmaker Mike Smith featuring over 20 of his recent reduction lino prints, will be on display at the Mill Bridge Gallery in Skipton until Saturday, July 7.

Craven Museum and Gallery will present an exhibition displaying a selection of artwork from The Roebuck Collection until Saturday, July 7, in Skipton Town Hall.

The artwork represents a range of periods, artistic styles and paintings of both local interest and national importance.

Entry is free to the exhibition, which is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

Creative Fusion – A Journey, an exhibition of creative work by people who are supported by Horton Housing Association in the Craven area, is on display at Skipton Library.

The exhibition includes drawings, paintings, poetry and prose done by Horton’s clients.

The exhibition is display at Skipton Library until Thursday, June 28, then moves to Settle Library from July 3 to 17 and Cross Hills Library from September 12 to 26.

Quantum Theatre will present Shakespeare’s classic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, at 7pm on Saturday in Skipton Town Hall.

A tea dance featuring the music of Blackpool Tower resident organist John Bowdler, will be held at 1.30pm on Tuesday in Skipton Town Hall.

Dancers and listeners are welcome and tickets costing £8 will include sweet treats, tea and coffee.

SETTLE: Settle Orchestra will perform concerts this Saturday at Settle Parish Church and on Saturday, June 30, at Christ Church in Skipton.

The programme will include Weber’s Der Freischutz overture, Schubert’s 9th Symphony The Great and Strauss’ Horn Concerto No. 1.

Both concerts start at 7.30pm, and tickets costing £12 will be available at Capella in Settle, Bentham Post Office and on the door.

Folk band The Houghton Weavers will perform at 7.30pm tomorrow in Settle Victoria Hall.

Dyad Productions will present The Time Machine, a new interpretation of the HG Wells classic, at 7.30pm on Friday, June 29.

Elvis tribute Mark Summers will perform the concert Saturday Night Sixties: The Elvis Legacy at 8pm on Saturday, June 30.

The Ragdolls, a tribute to the Jersey Boys, with then perform a Sunday Night Sixties concert at 8pm on Sunday, July 1.

The exhibition Farms, Flags, Forges, which focuses on the area’s farming, quarrying, and associated Dales occupations, will be on display at The Folly until Sunday.

The Folly is also displaying Knitted Settle, an exhibition of knitted pictures of buildings in Settle, until December 22.

A new exhibition by Lois Brothwell, which features oil painting of women galloping through the Dales on horseback, will be on display until Friday, July 6, at the Gallery on the Green.

BARNOLDSWICK: Multi-instrumentalist Emily Maguire will perform in concert tonight in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

Available Jones, featuring guitarist Miguel Montalban, will perform at the centre on Thursday, July 5.
