THE ERA of peace, protest and love will be recalled in Skipton on Sunday May 5.

Andante Live will present Blowin’ in the Wind which combines the vocal harmonies of Vee Sweeney and Mark Rowson.

The pair, who play 16 instruments between them, will perform songs like Mr Tambourine Man, Imagine, The Night They Drove Ol’ Dixie Down, Big Yellow Taxi, All You Need Is Love and The Sound of Silence stop

The show is at Skipton Little Theatre, in Clifford Street near the Tesco entrance, from 7.30pm.

Patrick Smith, from Skipton Little Theatre, said the duo specialised in unique arrangements of the classic songs.

He said: “With outstanding musicianship they will perform an uplifting and inspiring show to give you a fabulous evening of unforgettable music.

”When Dylan, Baez and friends sang their songs of peace, protest and love, ’times certainly were a- changin’.

“Andante Live design and produce all of their shows in which they feature up to 15 different instruments ranging from the typical to the ‘I’ve never seen that before!’.”

The instruments include guitars, bass, flutes, bodhran, banjo, accordion, ukulele, piano, timbales, charango, xylophone, zither, balalaika, concertina and the musical saw.
