Councillor Adrian Naylor has been co-opted onto Addingham Parish Council.
Coun Naylor, a Craven ward councillor for Bradford, was co-opted to the village council at its October meeting.
He has taken the seat left vacant by Nick Reddyoff, who stood down because of family commitments.
Three people applied for the role of parish councillor. Coun Naylor, a former Conservative and past member of Bradford Council’s ruling executive, was re-elected to his Craven ward seat on the local authority in May.
A Silsden resident, he has also been a leading figure in the establishment of Addingham Community Library.
