A Ribblehead pub has given an early Christmas treat to more than 20 Skipton pensioners.
Allan Shutt and Jo Jagger, who run the Station Inn at Ribblehead, laid on a Christmas meal and an afternoon of entertainment for 20 residents at Ashfield House care home in Skipton.
The free event, a turkey and tinsel surpriseparty, took place last Wednesday afternoon and saw pensioners tucking into a Christmas dinner and enjoying a performance by local entertainer Tony Martell.
Jo, who used to work in a hospital and nursing home, said: “At this time of year, people often forget about the elderly.
“We try to do something every year, but this year we thought it would be nice to give them a day out.”
