Craven primary schools which excelled in the latest performance tables have received top-level praise.

A congratulatory letter has been sent by Schools Minister David Laws to outstanding Sats (Standard Assessment Tests) achievers including Bradleys Both, Sutton CoE, Boyle and Petyt at Beamsley and Cracoe and Rylstone Primary Schools.

Each school where 100 per cent of pupils attained at least level 4 in English and maths, and made at least expected progress in the subjects, received a letter.

Mr Laws said: “I would like to congratulate all staff, governors and pupils for their hard work and success and to thank the heads for their leadership in continuing the drive towards the highest standards of educational achievement.”
