A Skipton charity shop is celebrating after achieving the highest number of donations in its region.
Cancer Research UK, in Caroline Square, also won an award at the charity’s annual conference in Glasgow for the greatest number of people signing up for Gift Aid.
Manager Jo Metcalfe, who took over the shop in July, said she was delighted and had shared her winning bottles of Champagne with her volunteer shop staff.
“I really had no idea and couldn’t believe it when they called my name out, I’m very proud and thankful to all my volunteers,” she said.
She also appealed for people to bring in their unwanted clothes due to a shortage of donations.
