Students at Upper Wharfedale School, Threshfield, have been remembering the victims of genocide across the world.
To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, student leaders Emma Binns, Paige Thompson, Charlotte Cuerden, Kate Brown and Stephanie Pearson have led special school assemblies, looking at what lessons could be learnt and why people should stand up against hatred today.
They also lit candles to remember genocide victims from the 20th century.
Headteacher Andrew Taylor said it was important to raise the issues as part of the school’s drive to tackle racism and intolerance.
