Police have released CCTV images of four men they'd like to question in connection of stealing a Rolex watch from Barbara Cunningham & Mezzo Jewellery in Craven Court, Skipton, last week.
They say there were several members of staff on duty at the time of the theft - which occurred about 4pm on Saturday, March 2 when one of the men returned to the shop and asked to view the Rolex watch.
He snatched the watch and ran from the shop, chased by one member of staff and Craven Court’s security while other members of staff provided cover.
However, he managed to get away and was joined by two of the other three men who had been waiting nearby.
Polce say initial reports that one of the suspects was Asian were incorrect and that all the four men they wish to question are white.
“Police remain optimistic that the men will be caught due to the excellent quality of the CCTV images, which have been circulated to neighbouring counties and police forces,” said a police spokesman.
Anyone who witnessed the theft, saw the men leaving the scene, recognises the men in the pictures or has other information, is asked to contact PC Michael Smith at Skipton Police Station on 101 or contact the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
