A music teacher has returned from adjudicating the Baltic Accordion Festival at St Petersburg in Russia.
Harry Hinchcliffe, of Cross Hills, was invited to judge by Professor Oleg Sharov from the city's Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire.
Mr Sharov has previously performed in Skipton and South Craven, and has taught Mr Hinchcliffe's former pupil Thom Hardaker in St Petersburg.
Mr Hinchcliffe's pupils from the Craven School of Music were recently successful at the UK Accordion Championships in Liverpool.
The Craven Accordion Orchestra and the school's Preparatory Group 1 both came away with first prizes in classes.
First prizes were also won by Caitlin Colley (higher elementary solo), Sophie Birks (junior recital) and Charlie Hickson (solo).
The Craven School of Music's Preparatory Group 2 and its Elementary Group came third in their classes.
