A young Embsay man has become a member of one of Britain’s elite military forces.
Ben Middleton, 21, has just completed 32 weeks of training to become a Royal Marine Commando.
Ben’s dad, Bob Middleton, said: “Despite temperatures of over 30 degrees, the Kings Squad pass out parade, at Lympstone, went well with Ben looking smart, if not hot, in his woollen dress uniform.”
Ben, from Embsay, had worked at Tesco is Skipton for 18 months while training as a Royal Marine Reservist at the Leeds barracks.
He has been posted to 45 Commando, based at Arbroath, Scotland, where he is looking forward to Arctic training.
