Santa has arrived in town – and he is spreading Christmas cheer from his grotto in Craven Court, Skipton.
During his residence over the next two weekends, he will help raise cash for Harry’s Star, set up in memory of Harry Marsden-Mellin who died of a brain tumour, aged ten months, in November 2010.
And visitors on Sunday will be able to buy a Harry’s Star piglet to add to their menagerie of animals which have been a feature of the £50,000 fundraising target set up by his mum Claire.
Emma Marsden, Craven Court manager, said: “All the proceeds from the grotto on that day will go to the charity and we hope to raise about £1,500.”
A competition to name the pig will also be held by the Present Planners shop. Other attractions will include Skipton Camerata on Saturday at 7pm.
