The Christmas festivities in Langcliffe again came to an end with a superb Twelfth Night celebration at the institute.
The entertainment was provided for the eighth year by Miscellany, a group of semi-professional artists, performers and vocalists. The chairman of Langcliffe Institute Trustees, Eric Parker, said: “We love to sing and Catherine Stevenson, the musical director, is very happy to encourage us.”
To mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, the concert focused on Remembering Through Song and was a moving tribute to the war dead of Langcliffe.
“It was an excellent way to mark the beginning of this special year,” added Mr Parker.
