The Yorkshire Dales Society will turn its attention to Bentham tomorrow.
A member of Bentham Footpaths Group will lead a free four-mile walk around the market town, taking in the River Wenning and views to the Forest of Bowland. Participants should meet at Bentham Methodist Chapel at 10.30am.
In the afternoon, David Checkley, chairman of the British Cave Research Association, will give a talk in the chapel at 2.15pm. He will share insights into current thinking on many aspects of cave science, including geology, glaciatios, cave biology and human occupation.
Admission is free for YDS members and £3 for visitors.
