The wonderful world of worms was brought to life for Cowling pupils as they learned to reduce waste by creating compost.
Pupils were able to touch and feel the worms and find out about their role in reducing waste and creating compost.
Cath Wilson and Joan Nicholson, of North Yorkshire Rotters, ran workshops in the school and helped pupils create their own wormery to take home.
The Rotters are working with the school’s eco-team to create compost from food waste and shredded paper to reduce the amount of waste in school.
