AN inquest into the death of a Silsden lorry driver killed in a crash on the M6 will open next week.
Trevor Kitchingman, 42, died after his articulated heavy goods vehicle was involved in a collision with a second HGV.
Mr Kitchingman, described as a “gentle giant” by his wife Kath, was carrying livestock when he was involved in the accident last October on the motorway south of Southwaite, in Cumbria.
The other driver involved in the accident, a 34-year-old man, escaped unhurt.
Mrs Kitchingman this week said she did not want to speculate on the outcome of the inquest.
She said: “Trevor is sadly missed and hopefully we will get some answers why he was so tragically taken from us.”
Mr Kitchingman had worked for Longthorne Bros Livestock Transportation based at Hebden.
The inquest will be held at Kendal Magistrates' Court on Tuesday at 10am.
