THIRTY residents of Carleton met with the Beacons Festival team to discuss this year’s event, which will be held at the village’s Heslaker Farm from August 7 to 10.
Residents said they were reassured by the meeting and were satisfied that the organisers were making technical and safety provisions to minimise inconvenience the community.
Festival-goers will be welcome in the Village Shop and The Swan Inn.
And residents accepted a £800 contribution from Beacons 2013 towards the Carleton Recreation Ground Project and the plans will be on display at this year's festival.
Beacons is an ongoing supporter of the Carleton project.
Beacons community liaison manager Susan Rautenberg said: “We look forward to welcoming lots of Carleton and BD23 residents at Beacons this year. The community forum was a very positive evening and we feel like we have made some new friends.”
