A FARMER whose plan to build a 147ft high wind turbine on his land near Austwick was refused permission has appealed to the Planning Inspectorate.
George Houghton's application for Israel Farm, Kettlesbeck, was thrown out by Craven District Council on grounds including its harmful impact on the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB).
It had been opposed by Clapham cum Newby Parish Council and the Ramblers Association.
Mr Houghton's appeal will be decided following written representations.
