HORTON-IN-RIBBLESDALE Primary School children welcomed Julian Smith MP at their open day.
The school was buzzing with activity and creative displays of work and staff and pupils worked hard to present the children’s talents in gymnastics, music, computing and new curriculum mathematics.
Mr Smith said: “I enjoyed visiting Horton-in-Ribblesdale Primary School and meeting with some of the pupils, parents and governors at their open day. The school is an important part of the community and I will continue to support this outstanding school and congratulate the team on the excellent results they achieve for their students.”
The younger children spent the afternoon involved in forest fun, with wild art creations, conker creatures and conker truffles continuing the autumnal theme.
Music was provided by members of the Confederation Orchestra and the Friends of the school provided a wonderful array of home baking.
"It was wonderful to see so many past, present and prospective pupils and their families enjoying this event," said a school spokesman.
