A FORMER pupil of Aireville School and Skipton Girls' High School has been awarded a top honour from her university.
Rebecca Sands, formerly of Gargrave, achieved a first class honours degree in applied creative design from Harrogate College, which is affiliated to Leeds Metropolitan University.
In addition, she was awarded the Dean's Prize for Innovation - given every year to an outstanding student with greatest all round achievement in personal, professional and academic spheres.
Rebecca, who now lives in Harrogate, is working as a lighting designer for Thirsk-based Brilliant Lighting.
