HELLIFIELD residents will spring into action this weekend to raise money for a young villager who needs specialist surgery overseas.
Seven-year-old Iuan Bolland-Jones has already undergone life-saving surgery at Leeds General Infirmary to remove a benign brain tumour - but some still remains.
He needs further treatment, which can only be provided the USA, and his parents, Gemma Jones and Tom Bolland, are busy trying to
raise £6,000.
Villagers are doing their bit by staging a fundraising event at the Black Horse Hotel, Hellifield, on Saturday from 7.30pm. It will include music from the band Spacebats, an auction and raffle.
People wishing to donate can do so at gofundme.com/hp2ccg or through Claire Marsden at Chic hair studio in Coach Street, Skipton, on 01756 798090.
