SUCCESS has struck a chord with Silsden Town Band.
Awards have been handed out to outstanding members at an annual celebratory dinner and presentation, at Steeton Hall Hotel.
Guests – who arrived to the accompaniment of the band's newly formed brass ensemble – enjoyed a three-course meal, followed by a quiz and then the presentation ceremony.
Awards were announced by chairman Claire Corp – who received a bouquet of flowers for her work – and presented by musical director Andrew Dunn.
Winners were: Musical Director's Trophy for player of the year, Sylvia Somers; Progress Shield for most improved player, Margaret Anthony; Chairman's Award for young musician of the year, Sam Laycock; Harold Clough Long Service Cup, Dennis Ross; Supporter of the Year, Rachel Dunn, and Player's Player of the Year, Rosemary Wallbank.
