A RETIRED vicar is hoping to form a new Burnley Football Club supporters' group in the area.
With the potential name of Craven Clarets, the Rev David Wiseman, from Skipton, hopes that the new group will be able to meet for informal gatherings each month to catch up with the football club.
"There are so many Clarets' groups around the country, but not one yet for the Craven area. There is even one in Norway!" he said.
Mr Wiseman is asking all Clarets supporters and friends to go along to the Devonshire (Wetherspoons) on Newmarket Street, Skipton, for an informal get-together on Monday (feb26) from 7.30pm.
Mr Wiseman is a lifelong fan of the club and has written a number of books, including "Up the Clarets", "Vintage Claret", and "A Case of Vintage Claret".
