WITH next month's General Election described as one of the most important in a generation, Craven Community and Voluntary Services (CVS) has decided to hold a hustings event in Skipton.
It will take place at Greatwood and Horse Close Community Centre on Tuesday at 7pm and all five known candidates - Julian Smith (Conservative), Jacquie Bell (Liberal Democrat), Andy Brown (Green), Malcolm Birks (Labour) and Alan Henderson (UKIP) - have agreed to attend.
"If any more candidates decide to stand they will also be invited to the event," said a CVS spokesman. "The event will give each candidate a chance to put forward their policies and allow residents/constituents to put questions to them about their policies and to try to get a concise answer."
