CLINICAL hypnotherapist Amy Brown is to hold a weekly hypnotherapy clinic at Skipton's Fisher Medical Centre.

From next week, she will be hold Power of Your Mind sessions each Thursday between 9am and 1pm.

Residents of Skipton, and the surrounding areas, will be able to access professional support to help them reach their goals or deal with issues where help is not otherwise immediately accessible.

Amy, 41, moved back to her Yorkshire roots after living and working in London for the past 20 years. Originally from Bradford, she and her family have returned north to live in Skipton after deciding it was time for a change.

“It is wonderful to be living in Skipton, back near my family and doing the job I love. Being on the doorstep of the stunning Dales is fantastic,” says Amy.

Amy qualified as a hypnobirthing practitioner six years ago before becoming a fully qualified clinical hypnotherapist to help people deal with many different areas such as anxiety, weight loss, lack of confidence, insomnia, habits and phobias.

“The aim of a clinical hypnotherapist is to benefit the client by working towards their goals positively," said Amy. "By working with the subconscious, a huge amount can be achieved."

Sessions will cost £60 each (except smoking cessation sessions which are charged at a higher rate).

In addition, Amy is starting two Hypnosis for Positivity and Relaxation drop-in classes.

Costing £6, the classes will run from next week with Lunchtime Revival at Skipton's Forage Deli on Tuesdays from 1pm to 2pm and Wind Down at Skipton Community Hub on Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

Amy said: "The classes will provide a gentle relaxation to guide you through a calming mental journey allowing any tension to simply melt away.”
