Andrew Stephenson has held Pendle for the Conservatives.
He increased his majority to 5,453. With 20,978 votes, Mr Stephenson took 47.2 per cent of the vote, with Labour's Azhar Ali taking 15,525 votes and 34,9 per cent of the vote.
UKIP’s Mick Waddington was third, while the Lib Dems’ Graham Roach polled just 1,487 votes, accounting for three per cent of the vote, down from 9,000 for the party in 2010.
Mr Stephenson said: “I would like to pay tribute to my parents, my agent agent George Askew, my campaign assistant Tom Watson and all the volunteers from across Pendle and further afield who have helped with my campaign.
“Five years ago I said it was the greatest honour of my life to be elected as Pendle’s Member of Parliament.Tonight I am overwhelmed that the residents of Pendle have put their trust in me to serve their local community.”
