CANCER campaigners from Craven and Keighley celebrated 65 years of fundraising at a special dinner.
TV presenter Harry Gration was the guest speaker when the Keighley and Craven committee of Yorkshire Cancer Research hosted its celebratory lunch.
The event - held at Skipton's Rendezvous Hotel - attracted 240 guests and raised more than £3,000.
Mr Gration spoke of his career in broadcasting, including his experiences in Afghanistan and his involvement with the Tour De France and Tour De Yorkshire.
Ray Davies, a trustee of Yorkshire Cancer Research spoke passionately about the charity and the importance of the committee’s efforts in funding vital research.
Over the past 65 years, the committee has raised almost £1.44 million.
The committee’s next event is the Star Sapphire Ball at the Rendezvous Hotel on November 21.
