STAFF at Broughton-based environmental specialists Comply Direct will be washing cars and baking cakes for charity next Thursday, August 6.

And the company will give the proceeds to local children's charity SELFA, which provides activities for 350 disabled, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in Craven.

The fundraiser will take place in the Old Saw Mill car park on the Broughton Hall Estate from 10am to 4pm.

The Comply Direct team will wash cars for £4.50 and vans, 4x4s and estate cars for £5.50 - and, while the work is in progress, customers can sit back and relax with a tea or coffee and a homemade cake.

Comply Direct's HR and operations manager Jessica Aldersley said: "We are delighted to be supporting SELFA as they are a fantastic charity who provide much needed support to so many children and young people in the local area.’’

To book a spot in advance, email jessica@complydirect.com. Car wash slots will be 15 minutes long and allocated on a first come first serve basis.
