YOUNGSTERS at Embsay Primary School have joined the fight against dog muck in the village.
They took part in a Bag It and Bin It poster competition and the winning entries have been erected around Embsay and Eastby.
The competition was organised by local Police Community Support Officer Ruth Pearson and the entries were judged by Inspector Geoff Crocker.
The winners were Lila Harris, Mex Seddon, Freya Mitchell and Emily Preston.
Ruth said: “I am hoping that a child’s hand-drawn poster will have more of a visual impact that a bog standard sign. Hopefully irresponsible dog owners will see the posters and think twice.
