DYLAN Groenewegen from the Netherlands' Team Lotto has won the first stage of the Tour de Yorkshire.
He took top place after a frantic sprint finish against Caleb Ewan, from Australia's Orica GreenEdge, and Germany's Nikias Arndt from Team Giant-Alpecin.
Spectators cheered on the riders as they crossed the finish line in Settle Market Place.
Speaking afterwards, Groenewegen said: "It is a very very nice race. Very beautiful."
