A LAMBING service was held in the sheep shed at Newhouses Farm near Horton-in-Ribblesdale on Sunday - and afterwards, some younger members of the congregation helped the Rev Stephen Dawson feed the pet lambs.
"The lambs seemed to appreciate all the attention and extra bottles of milk," said Mr Dawson.
During the service, John Dawson, a sheep farmer and Stephen's brother, spoke about how farmers helped each other through difficult times and shared some products associated with lambing time in the Dales. Prayers were said for farmers and all who work the land.
Afterwards 39 people of all ages shared a bring and share tea in the farmhouse with thanks to Geoff and Jeanette Davidson and their family for their hospitality at such a busy time.
