A 60-feet long barge being lifted by crane into the Leeds-Liverpool Canal drew a small crowd to Skipton Canal Basin.
The £55,000 Sailaway boat was built by the Liverpool Boat Co Ltd - the largest builder of steel canal boats in the UK.
At 12 feet, it is wider than the average narrowboat.
However, the Sailaway is sold as a waterproof shell with an engine, enabling the owner to use the boat as a "camper" while fitting out the interior.
No details have been given regarding the boat's owner or its future use.
