A FORMER care home in Cross Hills, which earlier this year raised the concerns of a North Yorkshire coroner, is up for sale.
Fernbank House, a grade two listed building in Park Road, is for sale for around £625,000.
Carl Smith, a director of agents Lambert Smith Hampton, of Leeds, said: "This is a building rich in history right in the heart of Cross Hills which, with a little modernisation, could make either ideal business premises or a beautiful family home."
In March this year, North Yorkshire coroner Geoff Fell recorded a verdict of misadventure on a resident who died after a gradual build up of a prescribed drug in her body.
Mr Fell said he had some concerns about management at the home, although it had not contributed to the woman's death.
The building has 12 bedrooms and over the years has had a number of extensions, including the renovation of the former coach house.
At the back is a lawned, landscaped garden.
