A SKIPTON man smashed a pub window out of frustration after being denied entry, heard magistrates.
Kayne Hargreaves, 23, was in the Fleece Inn, Keighley Road, on November 30 with his father when he was involved in an altercation with another customer, the Skipton court was told.
He left the pub, but when he tried to return later he was not allowed in, causing him to punch a pane of glass and having to be taken to hospital.
Hargreaves, who admitted criminal damage, told the court he could not understand why he had ended up being charged as he had offered to pay for the damage.
Magistrates fined Hargreaves, of Keighley Road, £80 and ordered him to pay costs of £85 and £78 compensation to the Fleece Inn.
