CHILDREN at Skipton's First Steps Nursery enjoyed games galore when the nursery celebrated its 20th birthday.
They also tucked in to birthday cake and parents joined them in various fun activities throughout the day at the nursery, on Newmarket Street. First Steps also has a nursery on Broughton Road, which opened in 2008.
Owner Sonia Anderson said: "We are very proud of the care that we offer at First Steps and have enjoyed seeing the children growing up over the last 20 years - and we even have them coming back to us with their own children! The majority of staff have been with the company at least 10 years. We would like to to thank staff, parents and children, past and present."
Sonia added that from the summer term, thanks to the government trial working parents would be able to claim 30 hours of free child care for three- and four-year-olds, not 15 as at present. Parents can contact the Broughton Road Nursery for information on 01756 700956.
