Reader and photographer Bez Beresford was in the right place at the right time for this picture of the Flying Scotsman and two vintage Bedford OC coaches. Both coaches are 67 years old, but whereas the green and cream one is a local, it belongs to Bibbys of Ingleton, the red and cream one - 'The Shetlander' was on a 11 day journey from Norfolk back home to the Shetland Islands, where it once provided a vital public service to the islanders and has now been given back by its current owner. The team taking the coach back to the Shetland Islands, called into Bibbys to have a look at their Bedford OB while on the way to Keswick, and after hearing the Flying Scotsman was in the area - drove off to have a look, and this was the happy result.
The picture was taken south of Clapham Station at just after midday on Wednesday last week. If you have a picture for this page, send it with a few details to news@cravenherald.co.uk
