A LINGERIE business offering tailored advice and handpicked garments is set to open its doors in Ingleton.

Jayne Burrow, 43, is the woman behind La Femme Fatale - an online business that will soon have a retail store on New Road.

She anticipates that the showroom will open in the next month. It will be open to the public two days a week and the rest of the time will be by appointment only.

“I have been in and passionate about the fashion and lingerie industry for over 10 years and I combined my knowledge from both of these when creating La Femme Fatale,” Jayne said. “La Femme Fatale is a lingerie business, but its number one aim is to make every one of its clients - young, old, male, female - feel special and every single decision we make has them in mind.”

Brands on offer include Coquette, which Jayne says offers everything from ‘romantic to risqué’, Seven til Midnight, Fever and Rene Rofe.

There are bridal ranges available and sizes from 6 to 26 are on offer - something which Jayne was keen to highlight.

“Our larger sizes are modified to give flattering fits, slightly longer, reinforced cups and wider straps but the design remains the same,” Jayne said.

“We strongly believe than being larger does not stop us from wanting beautiful and sexy lingerie, in fact this is one of the top things that we get praised on.”

A consultation can be undertaken either by appointment in the showroom or through a visit at home.

‘Boutiques at Home’ are also on offer. A client invites a number of friends to their home and ranges are taken to them.

“One-on-one consultations are an essential part of our business,” Jayne said. “Lingerie is the most intimate clothing that we wear and yet our experience is to walk into a shop, have a quick look at something that’s nice and then it getting stuck into a carrier bag.

“La Femme Fatale is about women feeling great, sexy and confident.”
