MEMBERS of the Royal Navy’s skeleton bobsleigh team steered a course for Silsden.
Ladies’ captain Bianca Di Resta and coach Sid Lawrence visited Snugpak, the sleeping bag and insulated clothing manufacturer which has supported the team since 2002. They were given a tour of the factory and learned how the clothing supplied to them by the Howden Road firm is produced.
The duo also demonstrated the basics of skeleton and presented Snugpak with its own sled.
Company sales director, Darren Burrell, said: “We’re really pleased that the warm jackets we provide to the team come in handy and help prevent the athletes from getting injured.”
