OAKLEY’S Grill & Pizzeria Ltd has been shortlisted for the second year running in the nationals Food Awards England.

The Skipton restaurant will find out if they will be crowned winners in the Restaurant of the Year category at the ceremony taking place next week.

Peter Hanson, director and owner of Oakley’s, said: “We are delighted to be nominated for the second year in a row for the prestigious award. It shows that all the hard work from our team and suppliers is getting recognised on a national level, and it is something we are proud of.

“We employ over 40 local people and we continue to provide the local people of Skipton great food and focus on value for money.

“Our philosophy is to employ local people and use local suppliers, to give the people of Skipton great food, focusing on value for money!

“One of our main suppliers include ‘Class One’ who are based in Skipton, who supply us with our fresh produce every day.”

Based on a public vote, the Food Awards England are designed to reward individuals and businesses dedicated to constantly delivering high-quality dishes, produce and supplies.

The black tie awards night will take place at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Monday night.
