Burton In Lonsdale Young Farmers recently held their Annual Tractor Run in aid of the club.
Beginning at Bentham Auction Mart, the route went up towards Mewith, past Low Gill through to Wray.
They then took a left in Wray towards Middle Salter, past Caton Wind Farm, Littledale, Brookhouse, then to Bullbeck for a brew and burger.
From there, to the Crook'o Lune, Halton Park, Aughton, Gressingham, Hornby, Wray, Low Bentham and finally The Horse and Farrier for Pie, Chips and Peas.
All agreed it was a very scenic 41 mile trip.
There was a fantastic turn out of 40 tractors, all ages, shapes and sizes, including a six cylinder Fordson Major, a restored International from the 1980's, a David Brown Cropmaster from around 1950's, and several modern tractors around 150hp. Luckily the weather managed to stay mostly dry with just an odd shower catching those without a cab.
