POLICE report roads closed around the A59/A65 at the roundabout are now re-open after the operation to clear a transport that drove into the middle of it is nearing completion.
Drivers have faced major delays this afternoon after the car transporter overturned on a roundabout on one of the main routes out of Skipton.
The lorry ended up half on the roundabout and half on the road and was fully laden with 12 cars.
It is not believed there have been any injuries.
Police warned motorists to avoid the area and said there could be delays for several hours as the recovery operation takes place.
PCSO Gillian Seed tweeted at just before 6pm: "Bypass now re-open A59"
