INDEPENDENT Skipton company Coffee Care received the Best Yorkshire Beverage award at the Deliciously Yorkshire’s Taste Awards.

Hosted at the Harrogate Pavillions, the black tie event saw independent businesses from all over the region gather together to celebrate recognition for their hard work and commitment to delivering quality goods and services.

The awards are now the largest and most respected food and drink awards in the region and are a celebration and recognition of Yorkshire's fantastic food and drink scene.

With hundreds of entries sent in, the judging panel of chefs, supermarket buyers and food critics selected Coffee Care’s Three Peaks Blend as their favourite Yorkshire Beverage of 2017.

Chairman of Deliciously Yorkshire, Judy Bell MBE, said: “With hundreds of entries from Yorkshire companies of all shapes and sizes, the diversity and innovation shown by our entrants year on year make these awards the ones to watch and the ones to win.”

Coffee Care operations director Sarah Oliver and sales and technical director Richard Wood attend the event to collect the award.

They said: “It was a privilege to spend the evening with so many businesses that take a real and genuine pride in what they do. It’s this pride that makes Yorkshire such a fantastic region to operate in.

“We supply businesses all over the North serving Three Peaks Blend to their customers who we’re sure will be delighted to know that their coffee has received such a great accolade.”

Three Peaks is a blend of coffees from Colombia, Kenya, Brazil and Costa Rica, roasted to different levels.
