THE Woodland Trust, custodian of Skipton Castle Woods, is planning to make the ancient woodland a more thrilling location to visit. And it wants Craven people to have their say about the plans.
So on Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, it is holding an open weekend in Skipton town hall from 10.30am to 4pm.
A trust spokesman said: "We’ve been asking local people, visitors and potential visitors what they love about the woodland and how they think we should be interpreting the woods history.
"We’d like to show some new ideas which may help us tell the story of the medieval forest, the industrial wood and the protected wood that we see today." Free coffee, tea and cake will be available.
