A ROAD has reopened following a serious five-car crash this morning.
Police, the fire service, paramedics and the air ambulance were all called to the scene, on the A65 near Chelker Reservoir at around 8.40am.
A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said five people were taken to Airedale General Hospital with hip and neck pain.
One person had to be airlifted to the hospital and was suffering from suspected neck, abdominal and pelvic pain.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while accident investigation work got underway.
PCSO Ruth Pearson, who covers Skipton, Embsay and Eastby, tweeted these pictures from the scene.
