A FAMILY from Ingleton have thanked all who supported their drive to boost a charity which helps those with premature and sick babies - by enjoying their cakes and buns!

Jane Crisp and Darren Frankland, of Ingleton’s Wheatsheaf Inn - with a little help from their children, Annie, three, and Dougie, one - held four different ‘bake sales’, the main one at the Royal Oak in Settle on market day, and have raised a total of more than £1, 200 for charity Bliss. Jane, 31, said: “I was pregnant with twins but had to have surgery for ‘twin to twin transfusion’ and sadly we lost Dougie’s brother Bobby at 18 weeks. Dougie was born at only 29 weeks, weighing just 2lbs 14 oz. He spent six weeks in the neo-natal unit at Preston hospital, with fantastic care. Bliss is a fantastic charity too -thanks to everyone who has supported us and made donations.”
