CHILDREN at Kildwick CE Primary School have been busy raising money for good causes.
Thomas Demain, a pupil in year six, and his friends decided to hold a bun and cake sale in the school hall to raise money for the charity Myeloma UK.
The charity is close to the family’s hearts as a close family member is suffering from the disease.
The cake sale proved to be a huge success and managed to raise £241.
Elsewhere in school, year five pupil Ellie Pickles decided to get her hair cut for the charity Little Princess Trust.
The charity provides wigs for children who are suffering from cancer, and last year gave away 1,200 free real-hair wigs to youngsters.
Kildwick School head Tim Whitehead said: "This just goes to show what a kind and caring community we have in school, always looking of ways to help others."
