SKIPTON-based land assets consultancy company Rural Solutions staff have raised £2,255 for charity ‘Wil’s Wishes’ by completing the National Three Peaks climbs in 23 hours and 34 minutes – a new record for the team.
In the unusually hot conditions, members of Team Rural Solutions set off from Skipton to climb the three highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland - more than 10,000ft on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, and including almost 1,000 miles of driving. William Fry, the firm’s managing director, said: “The support and enthusiasm from all of the 31-strong team has been wonderful.” Lancashire-based ‘Wil’s Wishes’ was set up in memory of Wil Handford by his family to raise awareness of bowel cancer.
